Heidi Macpherson became the seventh president of The College at Brockport in 2015. A Minnesota native, she received her B.A. in English and Creative Writing from St. Cloud State University in 1990. That summer, she emigrated to the United Kingdom. She received her PhD in North American literature from the University of Newcastle in 1996 and became a US-UK dual national in 2003. Her background includes both teaching and administrative positions in the UK and this country.
At Brockport, Macpherson heads a SUNY institution with approximately 8,200 students and some 750 instructional faculty.
