A case of full-blown blues

I’m not sure which version of the devil Pete Griffith of the Pete Griffith Band is involved with, but whatever exchange he’s gotten himself mixed up in has no doubt cost him a good portion of his soul.

Pete Griffith

The man howled and wailed with a voice that was 100 proof last Friday at Iron Smoke Whiskey in Fairport. Griffith and his band were there to support fellow Rochester rockers, Violet Mary.

The joint was jumpin.’ What a crowd, what a mob, what a scene. Griffith’s band leaned on more of a rockin’ blues twist as the maestro took the time-honored genre from behind the drum kit. This was where his highness rocked a room of collective ass-shakers and brought the house down.

Griffith is one of the artists who proves that Rochester ain’t got a taste of the miseries, it’s the full-blown blues.

Amen.
