McAlpin Industries is embarking on a more than $23 million phased expansion, which will create up to 52 jobs.

The sheet metal processor plans to build a 300,000-square-foot facility on Hard Road in Webster to support its light manufacturing operations. The site, which is expected to be operational late next year, will include operations such as laser cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly.

The company will receive up to $1 million in tax credits from the state in exchange for the job commitments. A precision metal working company, McAlpin Industries serves various sectors including telecommunications, medical, transportation and office equipment. It currently employs roughly 150 people.

“Our expansion in Webster represents more than just a new facility—it’s a long-term investment in our community, the future of advanced manufacturing and, most importantly, our associates,” says Matt McAlpin, president and CEO of McAlpin Industries. “This new facility will enhance our capabilities, increase capacity, and strengthen our ability to solve customer challenges, right here in the Greater Rochester area.”

He calls the expansion an exciting new chapter for the business, which was founded in 1964.

“Webster is proud to be home to McAlpin Industries’ expansion plan, and we look forward to their bright future in our town. Local businesses, like McAlpin Industries, play an integral role in making our region flourish,” says Tom Flaherty, Webster town supervisor. “The town of Webster is dedicated to fostering a community that attracts businesses, strategic economic growth, and good-paying job opportunities for residents; this project is a testament to this commitment.”
