Julia Maddox is the director of the Barbara J. Burger iZone at the University of Rochester. Jim Hall is dean of University Studies and the executive director of the School of Individualized Study at Rochester Institute of Technology.
This month they sat down at RIT’s MAGIC Spell Studios for an interview with Rochester Beacon Publisher Alex Zapesochny to discuss their respective programs and how they are enabling students to forge self-directed and unique paths during their university years.
