A march for Jews, now and long ago

In 1987, when the Freedom Sunday for Soviet Jews rally drew 250,000 to Washington, America was united in support. On Tuesday, even more people marched in the nation’s capital to support Israel’s right to defend itself, to demand the release of hostages—and to decry the rise of antisemitism.
